Supportive Services That Meet Your Needs
The #HoidayGivingCampaign is our program that falls under our “A Community That Cares” initiative to help our local community members and support those who assist them in their daily lives.
Each year, CHHC seeks the support in the collection of personal care and household cleanings supplies, and funding (for basic needs) for those in our community who, at the end of the month, have to decide between eggs or toilet paper, bread or shampoo, milk or soap, food or cleaning supplies, etc. In the past, we have supported 30 homes, each year for 5 years, and collected $500-$1,000.00 in items and cash donations.
Through CHHC’s partnerships our 2017 #HolidayGivingCampaign was a record year. We collected over $17,000.00 in items and donations to help over 300 homes between Oshkosh, Appleton and Green Bay.. 2018 was another record year as we more than doubled our goal to reach 500 homes. Instead we reached 1300 homes (almost 4000 people) and collected $80,000 in items and donations. Our goal is to help our community members and their families have a cleaner and healthier start to the Holiday Season & New Year. The Holiday Season can be stressful for anyone especially those who don’t always have the means for basic personal care/hygiene and cleaning necessities.
We collect new personal care and cleaning items for our community members throughout the year. Our annual #HolidayGivingCampaign runs from October 1st through December 31st.
